To provided me with enough opportunities to balance my life between fine motoric skills playing the pipe organ, conducting and the downright strenuous work outdoors I farm a 70 hectare agricultural holding. I work ecologically and do not use pesticides and other chemicals that get sprayed. I took over the farm from my parents, who do not live in any more but still come over to help now and then.

The farm is aligned to the "Naturlandverband", which is - next to "Demeter" and "Bioland" the largest ecological crop growing association in Germany. It has very strict regulations and rules.

My farm does mainly crop growing, but I also tend 10 Angus cows with their calves. They enjoy their meadows in summer and get stabled in winter.

A well planned crop rotation as well the work with the soil in natural ways is necessary for a successful ecological cultivation, as I cannot compensate errors with chemicals as the conventional farmer can possibly do.
I rotate with clover, wheat, rye, peas, spelt, oats to get back to clover again. To regenerate the soil I spread muck from the animals and sometime plant temporary crop (green manure).

My grain is brought to the market due to "Naturland Marktgesellschaft", I do not harvest as much, but the achieved prices are better.

I also offer ecological grown grain directly from the field, starting with 2 kilo packaging. You can buy spelt, rye and wheat.
